The Wagner Tuning Competition Gen.2 Intercooler Kit is a direct upgrade for the Hyundai i30 N, designed to deliver consistent, reliable charge air cooling under heavy use. By dropping intake temperatures and reducing heat soak, it helps the engine maintain stable power during spirited driving and on track, where the standard intercooler can struggle.

At its core is a modern Competition tube fin design with a stepped construction, measuring 580 mm x 150 mm x 135.4 mm plus 580 mm x 62 mm x 70 mm, giving a total core volume of 14.3 litres. Compared to the OEM unit, that’s a 44.3% larger inflow area and 101.4% more core volume, which translates to better cooling capacity and improved resistance to heat soak during sustained boost.

Engineered for airflow and durability

The cast aluminium end tanks are CAD designed and CFD optimised, meaning the internal shape has been carefully shaped on computer to guide air smoothly through the intercooler. This keeps pressure drop (back pressure) low, so the turbo doesn’t have to work harder to push air through the bigger core.

A specially developed air baffle is included to direct airflow through the intercooler core and onwards to neighbouring components such as the water radiator, which is particularly important for cars seeing track use. An anti-corrosion coating protects the unit from road grime and weather while still allowing efficient heat transfer.

Fitment

Designed for the pre-facelift Hyundai i30 N, including the standard, Performance and Project C variants built between 2017 and 2020.
